Oddbods Day Out

The Splat Kids already enjoyed watching Oddbods on YouTube so when we were invited to meet them and try out the new Vuer App onboard a National Express coach for the #oddbodsdayout we jumped at the chance!

The day started with a short trip over to Bournemouth, where we spotted the Oddbods coach parked outside the pier. A quick hello to the other bloggers and the team from Hello Communications and then we saw Bubbles and Pogo walking towards us down the promenade.

The Splat Kids were so excited to have their photo taken with the coach and with the oddbods characters.

Next it was time for our coach ride where we had the opportunity to try out the new Vuer app. It was very easy to download from the appstore, and once connected to the onboard Wifi and a quick sign in it was ready to view all of the wonderful content.

There is over 200 minutes of oddbods content to watch on the Vuer app which kept the Splat Kids occupied for the entire journey. Coach journeys with three children are usually so daunting but the journey was, dare I say, relaxing!

After our coach ride had finished, we were invited to do an interview with Children’s presenter Nigel Clarke on the Big Wheel! Oscar was a bit worried about being up so high (which is funny given his usual love of rollercoasters) but Henry was super excited. They were both very brave and answered some questions about their favourite oddbods characters.

The other bloggers and vloggers on the event went on to have a buffet lunch but because of our various allergies we went over to Nandos and enjoyed a quick lunch before heading to Key West Bar & Grill for some crafting with Made by Me.

The Splat Kids made some super cool oddbods headbands, and a pencil case. Lexy & Sarah from Made by Me Craft Parties were great with the kids and the boys being engaged with crafting enabled Jim & I to network a bit.

After some final photos with the oddbods it was time to leave. The boys have a renewed love of oddbods and have asked to watch it every day since, and we have now crossed coach trip off of the list of things not to do with children!
